GHDG is a full-service, residential interior design firm helping clients in Boston and surrounding communities. We embrace a modern-classic aesthetic with just enough edge to spark conversation! With a reliable, crystal-clear project experience, our team will skillfully facilitate your design journey from initial concept to completion. The GHDG team will bring their expertise (and fun-loving nature) to your new construction, renovation, and redesign projects.
Our mission is to craft a space that’s unmistakably, beautifully you.
We hold an unwavering commitment to designing homes, not museums, and promise to meet you right where you are. Our approach? It’s like a candid chat with a dash of the unexpected and a big dose of transparency.
With an instinctive eye for color, balance and scale, Kristen Apicerno is known for crafting modern classic interiors with an edge; refined spaces designed as beautifully as they are livable. Her career began under the mentorship of nationally renowned interior designer and HGTV/Food Network host Taniya Nayak, whose guidance shaped Kristen’s approach and helped launch her into the design world with both confidence and purpose.
In 2020, Kristen founded Glass House Design Group, quickly establishing a reputation for tailoring elevated, highly personal interiors that feel effortless but are backed by meticulous planning. Her firm is distinguished by a crystal-clear process, unwavering integrity, and the ability to deliver sophisticated homes on time and on budget for discerning clients throughout Greater Boston and New England.
Kristen’s voice and expertise have been recognized by industry leaders. She has been featured twice on the Business of Design® podcast, where she spoke candidly about the importance of mentorship, the business side of design and lessons learned while building a thriving practice. Her work has been featured in the Boston Globe, and one of her most meaningful projects to date was her contribution to Tommy’s Place, a Cape Cod retreat for children battling cancer. Kristen’s bakery-themed bedroom there was celebrated in Falmouth Living magazine as a heartfelt example of her creativity, compassion, and ability to design with soul.
Rooted in New England for over 28 years, Kristen draws deep inspiration from the region’s historical homes, weaving together old and new to create spaces that honor heritage while embracing modern living. This blend of imagination and respect for tradition is a signature thread throughout her portfolio.
Beyond design, Kristen embraces her most important roles as a wife and mom to two boys and rescue lab, Lulu. Whether she’s poolside hosting friends, rescuing stray animals, or cheering from the sidelines at youth football games, Kristen brings the same passion to life as she does to every project: wholehearted, creative, and endlessly dedicated.

Though Lisa's path to interior design was anything but direct, it provided her with a wealth of relevant skills. In her seven-year career as a clinical social worker, she guided families through some of their most critical moments, helping them find comfort with themselves and each other. Learning what brings comfort to others would become crucial in this next chapter.
During this time, she moved to the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Boston, having fallen in love with its classic red brick Georgian architecture. It was here that her interest in interior design began, living in and decorating two condos and embracing the rich history of the neighborhood to its fullest.
After leaving Boston for the suburbs, Lisa and her husband Mark decided to build their own home and worked with a local design/build firm. Lisa enjoyed the process so much she went on to work for the firm, showing the model homes in two of their local developments. Talking with people about their home-buying dreams and walking them through different layouts only fostered her love of home and interior design.
Today, Lisa is thrilled to finally devote herself to an interest that has blossomed into a passion. Adding a touch of urban sophistication to every design while making homeowners feel comfortable and connected in their space is a joy she looks forward to bringing to every project. A New Jersey native, Lisa resides in Wrentham with her husband, two sons and a cockapoo named Milo who fill all her spare time with love, support and a steady stream of school and sporting events.

Taylor knew from an early age that learning through experience is essential to her success and happiness. Though studying business management at a local university was helpful, it didn't offer the hands-on involvement she craved. So, she postponed a traditional college education and jumped into the workforce as an account development specialist for a wholesale jewelry company; eventually managing accounts all over New England.
While she enjoyed her contact with customers and quickly learned the structure of the business, the pandemic resulted in layoffs that left her contemplating her next move. Fortunately, she didn't have to look far. Taylor's mother owns and operates a home decor and furniture store in Foxborough, MA and she began working there full-time. To her surprise, what started as a career pivot ended up revealing her true passion for interior design.
Taylor found she loved meeting customers, hearing their stories, and helping them find the perfect touches for their home. She particularly excelled in blending old and new pieces to create a timeless aesthetic. Meanwhile, Taylor gained firsthand experience in owning and operating a business that proved invaluable to her future goals.
Today, Taylor is a co-owner in her family's business and is learning the ins and outs of interior design as an assistant at Glass House Design Group. From sourcing the perfect furnishings for client projects to rolling up her sleeves on installation days, Taylor is thriving through experiential learning and immersing herself in the design world. When she's not working as a successful, twenty-something business owner or advancing her design career, Taylor lives her best life in Wrentham, MA with friends, family and her Mini-Aussie, Lola.
